Pamala Ealey

Pamala Jane Ealey (Gill), 76, of Alton, Illinois, passed away on December 9, 2025, following a long battle with multiple comorbidities. She was born on September 15, 1949, in Alton to Juitte Gill and Norma (Bull) Gill.

Pam grew up in Alton and cultivated a passion for creativity and beauty from a young age. She attended Kitzmiller Beauty College, where she refined her skills and later fulfilled her dream of opening her own hair salon, Scissor Wizards, in Alton. Pam was known for her artistic spirit - whether drawing, painting, or expressing her unique style - and for her joyful love of the character Jack Skellington, which became a playful trademark among those who knew her.

On September 23, 1967, Pam married the love of her life, Ron E. Ealey, in Alton, Illinois. They shared 53 years of marriage until Ron’s passing on May 4, 2021. Together they raised two children, Kristin R (Brian) Metz of Homer, Alaska, and Eric E Ealey of Alton.

Pam is survived by her children; her grandchildren Chelsea Ealey, Annali (Jordan) Beachy, Harrison Metz, and Jordan Ealey; her great-granddaughter Maizie Beachy; and her brother Ronald (Vicky) Gill.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald E. Ealey, her father Juitte Gill, her mother Norma (Bull) Gill and sister-in-law Rhonda Gill.

Her family will forever remember her creativity, her humor, and her deep love for those she held dear.

A graveside service will take place at 11:00 am, on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, Illinois, where Pam will be laid to rest beside her husband Ron. All who would like to attend are invited and welcome.
