Pamela Jo Smith, 48, passed away at 4:53 am, Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Carlinville Area Hospital.She was born July 23, 1968, in Harbor City, California, the daughter of Jerome and Diana (Gowin) McCauley.On March 18, 1989, she married Troy A. Smith in Alton. He survives.She was an Occupational Therapist for White Hall Nursing and Rehab. Pamela enjoyed reading, taking walks, and spending time with her children and family.In addition to her husband, survivors include her children, Cory Smith and Stephen Smith, both of Carlinville; one brother, Michael McCauley; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jeffrey McCauley.Visitation will be from 4 pm until time of service at 7 pm on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.Memorials may be made to The American Heart Association.Arrangements by Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
