Patricia Alice Zimmerman, 75, died at 6:40 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at her home in Alton. 

Born August 1, 1943 in Alton, she was the daughter of Roland Eugene and Helen Juanita (Johnston) Waggoner.  She married Maurice “Gump” Zimmerman on October 2, 1971 in Alton.  He preceded her in death on May 17, 1984. 

Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of the Belleville Bellettes Drum and Bugle Corps.  She was an avid expert bowler and was a private driver for the cast of “Dreamer,” a 1979 motion picture filmed in Alton. 

Surviving are six daughters, Rebecca Cain of Alton, Ann Marie Parsons of East Alton, Marjorie Robbins of East Alton, Robin Blankenship of Alton, Amy Reaka (Mark) of Dupo and Kathryn Zimmerman of Batchtown, two step-daughters, Phyllis Sackman of Alton and Debra McKenney of Elsah, a step-son, Edward Zimmerman of Everett, Washington. 

Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, a brother, Ronald Waggoner (Sharon) of Alton, and Jackie Sheets (Jack) of Fort Worth, TX. 

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Don Atwood and Carl Zimmerman, a step-son, Keith Zimmerman and a step-daughter, Brenda Shaw. 

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. 

Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. 

Memorials may be made to BJC Hospice.
