Patricia Wood

Patricia C. Wood, nee O’Malley, 77, of Millstadt, IL, born Saturday, December 28, 1946, in Cahokia, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.

Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Patricia, left her earthly home to be with Jesus on November, 19, 2024. She was surrounded by her family who loved her dearly and knew that she loved each and every one of them. Patricia was the heart and soul of their home.

She was our supporter and disciplinarian in the early years. She balanced discipline with warmth and understanding. As we grew older, she was always our encourager and carried us through good times and bad with her unforgettable smile and contagious laugh.

She was always a God-fearing, selfless, and loving woman. She could mesmerize you with her dance skills, keep you entertained for hours with her joke-telling, or make your belly hurt from catching her contagious laugh. Her quick wit and infectious smile brought joy even in the most difficult times. Her playful spirit and passion for life was unforgettable.

She never met a stranger, and you could be sure you’d get a big hug from her! She was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her family! She remains in our hearts forever.

Funeral: Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m., November 26, 2024 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Pastor Doug Nicely officiating.
