Patsy Taylor

Patsy M. Taylor, 81, passed away at 2:05 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at her daughter's residence in Herrin.

Born in Gale, IL on August 5, 1936, she was the daughter of Berlie and Mary (Miles) Snell.

Patsy was the head baker in the cafeteria in the East Alton School District for many years before retiring.

On July 12, 1954 in McClure, IL, she married Thomas H. Taylor, Sr.  He died October 6, 2008.

Surviving arefour sons, Dino (Dina) Taylor, David (Theresa) Taylor, Bill (Donna) Taylor, Jerry Taylor; three daughters, Susan (David) Burns, Wanda (Gary) Robinette, Ruth (Robert) Bailey; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Taylor; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; brother, Butch Snell; and five sisters, Barbara Prater, Fern McIntyre, Sue Lence, Monnie Simpkins and Janet Roth.

Her parents; husband; son, Thomas H. Taylor, Jr.; and two brothers, Don and Junior Snell preceded in death.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m until time of service at 1 p.m. Monday, May 7 at Marks mortuary in Wood River.  Pastor Jason McKinnies will officiate.

Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Hospice of Southern Illinois has been designated as a memorial.
