Paula Parks

Paula Anne Parks, 60, died at 2:43 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2016 at her home in Godfrey with her loving family by her side. Born October 14, 1955 in Alton, she was the daughter of Frank P. and Bertha M. (Jungk) Riskorski. Paula graduated from Alton High School in 1973 and earned her teaching degree from the University of Texas in Arlington. She taught elementary school in Texas from 1986-2000. She later worked as assistant manger for the Godfrey Schnucks store from 2006-2014. She married Karl Leno Kaumo. He preceded her in death. On February 14, 2011 she married Larry J. Parks in Alton. He survives. Also surviving is a son Karl Leno Kaumo Jr. of Midlothian, TX, three step children, Rick Parks of Alton, Mike Parks of Alton and Sherry Dill of Godfrey, and a brother and sister-in-law John and Peggy Riskorski of Denver, CO. Private burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the 5A’s Animal Shelter. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
