
Pauline Stillwell, born and raised on a farm near Dickens, IA, a member of Westminster
Presbyterian Church, at 86 years of age is now home with her Lord.
Pauline had a life-long passion for music with the piano as her main instrument. She obtained her BA degree at Luther College in Decorah, IA and two Masters degrees in music at the University of Iowa. Pauline taught music at several education institutions including West Bend High School, West Monona High School, Minot State College, Tougaloo College, Belhaven College, and Lewis and Clarke Community College.
Pauline led the church choir, and also played piano at church services. She touched many people with her musical gifts and talents. Most recently Pauline played a recital at Asbury Village where she lived the past few years.
Pauline was a sports enthusiast, listening to baseball and football on the radio. She was a unique person and was surrounded by love. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, her parents Kenneth and Clara Rusk and her brother Dale Rusk.
She is survived by her sister, Arlene Sanderson of Waterloo, IA, her brothers Roger Rusk and his wife Cathy of Gurnee, IL and Norman Rusk and his wife, Susan of Eden Prairie, MN.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Godfrey, IL. Pastor Adrian Das will officiate. A lunch at the church will follow the service. Burial will be at
Alton City Cemetery.
