Pearl Henke

Pearl Helena Henke, 84, of Worden, IL, passed away at 7:40 AM on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Cedarhurst of Highland in Highland, IL. She was born April 11, 1942 in Bunker Hill, IL, the daughter of the late Carl & Melva (Seeger) Schreiber. She married Alfred P. Henke on October 14, 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bunker Hill, IL, & he passed away on November 12, 2012.

Pearl was a graduate of Bunker Hill High School, & a homemaker who later cleaned houses after the boys were raised. She enjoyed baking & cooking, Artex painting, needle pointing, & loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by four sons - Michael E. (Deana) Henke of Worden, IL, Alan L. (Angela) Henke of Staunton, IL, Steven Henke of Alhambra, IL, & Robert Henke of Alhambra, IL; three grandsons - Jonathan C. Henke, Jordan M. Henke, & Jared C. Henke; four great grandchildren; two brothers - Norman (Barb) Schreiber of Worden, IL, & Rich (Deb) Schreiber of Dorchester, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive. Besides her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by one brother - Ray Schreiber; & one sister - Karen Gueldner.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL, with Pastor Art Braden officiating. Burial will follow at Worden City Cemetery in Worden, IL.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
