
Rachel Danielle Duggan, 38, passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2026 at her home in Godfrey, IL.
She was born on December 9, 1987 in Maryville, IL to Steven and Deborah (Rice) Davis.
Rachel married her favorite person, her true love, Tyler James Duggan on May 14, 2011 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville, IL.
She is a CPA with a Batchelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA.
Rachel will be remembered for her caring nature and her intelligence. She was generous and helpful, and loved nothing more than helping someone fix a problem.
Rachel and Tyler traveled a lot. They enjoyed flying off to exciting places, but they also loved camping with friends, family, and their precious pups. They kayaked, fished, rode bicycles, and cruised around in the Mini Jeep that Tyler got for Rachel. She cherished spending nights at home with Tyler, Polar, Teddy and Kitty. She adored her family, especially all of her nieces and nephews. Rachel was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton, IL.
She is survived by her loving husband Tyler; mother, Deborah (Don) Dean of Alton, IL; father, Steven Davis (Sandy Crider) of Granite City, IL; grandmothers, Gerri Richardson of Bethalto, IL and Marilyn Rice of Granite City, IL; sisters, Stephanie (Todd) Janson of Imperial, MO and Emily Davis (Ben White) of Alton, IL; Brother in laws, Kevin (Julie) Duggan of Otterville, IL and Adam (LeAnn Jahn) of Grafton, IL; Sister in laws, Rebecca Duggan of Jerseyville, IL, Marissa (Luke) Knabe of Jerseyville, IL, Nina Baumgart of Jerseyville, IL; father in law, Michael Duggan of Jerseyville, IL; nieces and nephews, Payton, Bodhi, Mallory, Lindsey, Chase, Aidan, Jolyn, Ella, London, and Shylar; and one great-niece, Delilah.
She is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Goldie Duggan, her stepmother, Joyce Davis, grandparents, Stanley Rice, Geneva and Lloyd Davis and Roy Richardson.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton, IL
