Ramona Bunse

Ramona B. Bunse, 92, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Integrity Healthcare of Godfrey. Born October 30, 1924 in Springfield, IL, she was the daughter of Thomas Edward and Ellen (Leutner) Bobbs. Mrs. Bunse a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Alton; she was a homemaker, making clothing for her children and was privileged to take care of her special needs daughter, Anne; teaching her to walk with leg braces made by her husband. She married Louis Leroy Bunse on January 31, 1947 in Alton. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1986. Surviving are four daughters, Leslie (Arthur) Corpolongo of Lebanon, MO, Anne Louise Bunse of New Baden, IL, Joan (Jesse) Mackelden of Wood River, and Jean Crane of Alton, one son, Louis J. Bunse (Carla) of Granite City, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a sister, Norma Jean Lorch of Florida. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Kristen Sue Topping and a brother; Thomas Edward Bobbs. Private services were held at Gent Funeral Home in Alton officiated by Pastor Don Letson. Burial was at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
