Rebecca Louise “Becky” Jarman, 67, of Jerseyville, died at 7:23 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2026, at her home.

She was born on June 12, 1959, in Jerseyville, one of four children born to Dale “Buzz” and Anna (McCaherty) Jarman. Raised in Jersey County, Becky graduated from Jersey Community High School and went on to pursue a career centered around caring for others, earning her nursing degree from Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey.

Becky spent many years working as a nurse at Beverly Farms in Godfrey. Nursing was a natural fit for her warm and caring nature, and throughout her career she dedicated herself to helping those entrusted to her care. That same compassion extended well beyond her work. Becky had a genuine concern for others and was someone who cared deeply for the people in her life, always willing to lend a hand or simply be there when she was needed.

While caring for others was an important part of Becky’s life, she also knew how to appreciate the simple things that made her happy. She absolutely adored her cat, Hoodie, who held a very special place in her heart and was a constant source of companionship. She enjoyed settling in to watch Jeopardy!, preferably with a Twisted Tea nearby, and found contentment in the familiar comforts of home and the company of those she loved.

Above all, Becky’s greatest pride was her family. She was the mother of twin daughters, Tara and Trisha, and the bonds she shared with her family remained an important and meaningful part of her life.

She is survived by her mother, Anna Jarman of Jerseyville; her daughters, Tara Jarman of Jerseyville and Trisha Jarman of Quincy; her siblings, Michael (Penny) Jarman of Rosedale, Ruth (David) Dahl of Shawnee, Kansas, and Regina Jarman of Jerseyville; along with extended family and friends who will remember her caring heart and the warmth she brought into their lives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dale “Buzz” Jarman; as well as two nephews, Richard “Rich” Clarke and Robert “Bob” Clarke.

In accordance with Becky’s wishes, no public services will be held.
