Rhonda Flynn

Rhonda Flynn, 70, of Eddyville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Barnes – Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Rhonda Jo Gifford was born November 1, 1955, in Murray, Kentucky to William and Ruby Joann Elkins Gifford.

Rhonda was a member of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She always looked forward to celebrating Christmas with her family and enjoyed caring for her two dogs, Brody and Chino.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, Bill Gifford, her step-father, Bobby Galloway, a brother, Terry Gifford, and a sister, LaShell Payne.

Rhonda is survived by her children, Ryan Reed (Kayla) of Pontoon Beach, Illinois, Destiny McDuffie (Derek) of Moro, Illinois, Donna Myers of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Jeff Wild (Char), and Tim Wild both of O’Fallon, Illinois; her mother, Joann Galloway of Calhoun; five grandchildren, Peyton Gilliam (Payne Hubbs), Airman 1st Class Hayden Gilliam, Wren McDuffie, Kaden Boyer, and Kye Reed; a sister, Regina Simmons of Calhoun; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 28, 2026, at Pleasant Hope Cemetery in McLean County. There will be no public visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Rhonda’s family.  

The Rhonda Flynn family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Autism Clinic at Hope; 4559 Benes Street; Glen Carbon, Illinois, 62034.
