Robert 'Bob' McDonell, 70, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at his home.
Born Sept. 25, 1950 in Duluth, MN, he lived in Milwaukee, WI and Godfrey.
Bob served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1970-1972 as a Sergeant in the 1st Cavalry Division. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal W/2 Stars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 Device, and the Bronze Star Medal.
Bob left behind his wife, Rebecca 'Becky' and two sons, Robert 'Bobby' and Samuel 'Sam' in addition to his mother, Helen, four siblings, Jack, Kent, Jan and Dawn and their spouses, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, J.C. McDonell.
Bob was a manufacturer's representative for Douglas Furniture for 30 years. He enjoyed football and working on his home, and he loved his family above all else. He will be missed greatly.
