Robert Dover

Robert Joseph Dover, 88, of Carlinville, IL, died at his daughter's residence on June 22, 2026.  

He was born February 10, 1938 in Litchfield, IL to Matthew Dover & Mildred Briskovich Dover. He married Sandra Hayes Dover.

He was a veteran of the US Army after having served from 1958-1960 in Germany. Robert was a member of the VFW.  He was an avid reader. He enjoyed buying cars, photography, hunting, fishing and eating lunch with friends.  

He is survived by his children, Matthew (Kerry) Dover of Godfrey, IL, Cheri (Randy) Bohannon of Chesterfield, IL, grandchildren, Shane Stoddard, Jamie Dover, Cody Dover, Lindsay Dover, Nick Bohannon, Thomas Jun, Alexandria Jun, Luke Jun, Daniel Jun, great-grandchildren, Logan Miller, Bailey Stoddard, Sadie Stoddard, Chloe Holden, Addy Holden, Anaiah Holden, great great grandchildren, Aubrei Miller, Dani Miller and Bradlee Miller, sister, Nancy Lehmann, nephews, Tony Lehmann, Jeff Lehmann.  

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, brothers, "Red" Dover and Robert "Bobby" Nolan.  

Friends may call on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Memorial services will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 am. Memorials are suggested to Macoupin County Animal Shelter.
