Robert Jaco

Robert Dale Jaco, 74, of Belleville, IL, born May 8, 1952, in Poplar Bluff, MO, died Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Robert was employed at EM Wiegmann & Company in Freeburg, IL for the majority of his working years, where he was the plant foreman and an office estimator. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his wife and other family members and going on vacations. He also enjoyed going to the Mexican restaurant on Friday evenings with family for good food, drinks, and conversation. Robert will be remembered as a kind, generous man.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel Robert and Virginia Marie, nee Schaefer, Jaco; and his brother, Daniel Mark Jaco.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara, nee Gromer, Jaco, whom he married November 7, 1970; a daughter, Lori (Gary) Thielemann; one grandchild, Rebecca (Alex) Foster; three great-grandchildren, Harper, Jordan, and Alexander Foster; two sisters, Kathy Berry and Ginger (Wally) Tesluk; and two sisters-in-law, Shirley Jaco and Kim (Monty) Powers.

He was a cousin, an uncle, and great-uncle to many.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Tony Mayer officiating.

Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
