Robert Rainey

Robert "Scot" Rainey, 55, of Alton, IL, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026 at his residence.

Born on September 1, 1970 in Alton, IL to Robert Allen Ellen Marie (Miller) Rainey. He was a pipefitter at the Alton Steel Mill.

Surviving are a son, Robert "Paul" Rainey of St. Louis, MO; his mother, Ellen Rainey of Alton, IL and his sister, Shellee Baehler.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Allen Rainey.

No services will be held at this time. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Gent Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
