Robert Temple

Robert “Bob” Darren Temple Sr., 59, of Carlyle, IL, died at 5:40 p.m. Fri. Aug. 1, 2025 at Highland Healthcare in Highland, IL.

He was born Oct. 9, 1965 in Belleville, IL to the late Tillman and Mary “Honey” (Cox) Temple Sr.

On July 20, 1989, he and Angela Modrovsky were married in Edwardsville, IL.  She preceded him in death Nov. 9, 2006.

Bob worked in scrap metal and owned Temple Metals.  He enjoyed duck hunting when he was younger.  He loved hotrods, fishing and being outdoors.  Bob’s favorite past time was being a grandpa and spending time with his grandson, Myles.

He is survived by 3 children, Robert Temple Jr. and Bradley Temple, both of Collinsville, IL, and Cassidy Temple of Keyesport, IL, grandson, Myles Glasscock, 2 brothers, Tillman Temple Jr. of St. Jacob, IL, and William (Susan) Temple of Granite City, and 3 sisters, Marie Reece of Kissimmee, FL, Connie Ruckman of Maryville, IL, and Angela (Steve) Street of Maryville, IL.

The family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date.
