Robert Blackwell

Robert W. “Bob” Blackwell, 61, of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at his home.  He was born April 23, 1958 in East St. Louis, Illinois.  He will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert R. Blackwell and Audrey (Reed) Talley and a brother, Leo Talley.  He is survived by a sister, Scheryl Perdue of Granite City; two brothers, Scott Blackwell of Missouri and Rodney Talley of Granite City; a niece, Angela and Chad Whittenberg of St. Louis; a great nephew, Jaxson Whittenberg; other extended family and friends.

In celebration of his life, a memorial service will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 5:00 p.m.  Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans of Granite City and may be accepted at the funeral home.  www.irwinchapel.com
