Rodney Gene Boren, 62, passed away 10:38 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 at his residence.

Born in Alton on July 28, 1953, he was the son of John Wesley and Velma P. (Fowler) Boren.

He was a self-employed photographer, working freelance for many magazine periodicals, as well as the Disney Corporation and Associated Press and U.S. News and World Report.  He also had been a photography instructor at Lewis-Clark Community College.

He is survived by his three sisters, Brenda Feltes of Fosterburg, Debbie Bore of Kirkwood, MO, Diana (Charles) Menke of Elgin, IL; nieces and nephews, Kelly (Michelle) Feltes, Kyle (Michelle) Feltes, Jerrad (Kristen) Boren, David 9jane) Menke, Steve (Jeanie) Menke, Lesleigh Wrights; great nieces and nephews, Avery, Ella and Kellen Feltes, Quinlin and Delaney Feltes, Madelyn, Emily, Ava, Charlie and Eliza Menke.

His parents preceded in death.

A private, family service will be held with burial in McGee Chapel Cemetery in Glen Allen, MO.
