Roger Busch

Roger D. Busch, age 73 of Highland, IL, died Saturday, June 29, 2024, at HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, IL.

He was born on Tuesday, March 20, 1951, in Highland, IL, the son of W. Raymond and Mary (nee Arbgast) Busch.

On Saturday, Sept. 23, 1995, he married Diane C. Busch nee Boeser at United Church of Christ, Breese, Illinois, who survives.

Roger grew up in rural St. Jacob, IL.  He attended Triad High School, Troy, IL.  He lived in St. Jacob, IL until moving to Highland in 1992. He worked at Midwest Systems until 1986, Mrs. Allison's Cookies until 1990, then went to work for EF Frey Trucking, retiring in 2020. He enjoyed deer hunting with family and friends, four-wheeling, camping at Cloud 9 Ranch, playing Euchre, watching a good western movie, traveling to Alaska, Florida and going on cruises.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL and from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Marine, IL, with Rev. Fr. John P. Beveridge, Parochial Administrator, officiating. 

Interment will be at St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery in Marine, IL.

Memorial contributions may be made to McKendree Chapel Cemetery or St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery.
