
Roland B. Stevens, 94, of Belleville, IL, born May 22, 1931, in Ithaca, NY, died peacefully Friday, March 27, 2026, at The Colonnade Senior Living, O’Fallon, IL, with family by his side.
Roland worked for Union Electric, now known as Ameren and later founded Belleville Eagle Realty. He was an active member of West Side Optimist, Christ Church, and the Southern Illinois Board of Realtors.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris J. Stevens; his parents, Kenneth R. and Thelma, nee Longhouse, Stevens; his son-in-law, Kenneth Rickert; and two brothers, Mitchell Stevens and Wayne Stevens.
Surviving are his loving wife of 32 years, Carole J. Betz-Stevens, nee Cress, whom he married on January 29, 1994 two daughters, Lynn Mitchell and Judy Rickert; a son, James Stevens; four grandchildren, Jamie, Sara, Alex, and James; dear great-grandchildren; and his sister, Sylvia Smith.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2026, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Christ Church, Fairview Heights, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Christ Church, Fairview Heights, IL, with Rev. Shane Bishop officiating.
Burial will be at Green Mount Protestant Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
