Ronald Marks

Ronald Frank Marks, 76, of Granite City, IL, passed away Sun. Aug. 9, 2020 at his home.

He was born Sept. 4, 1943 in St. Louis, MO to the late Pearl (Heacox) Riti and Frank Marks.

On Dec. 24, 1963, he and Helen Sue Bettis were married in St. Louis, MO.  She survives in Granite City.

Ronald was an assembler for General Motors for 16 years.  He loved to fish and hunt.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 sons: Ronald 'Runt' (Carla) Marks of Mulberry Grove, IL, Scott (Tina Gancheff) Marks of Granite City, Joe (Jodi) Marks of Glen Carbon, IL; a daughter: Heather (Jacob) Geringer of St. Charles, MO; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Virginia Bowman of Dongola, IL.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Donald Marks; a brother: Frank Marks; and 2 sisters: Donna Schiller and Loretta.
