Rosa Lockeby

Rosa L. Lockeby, age 89, of Saint Jacob, IL, died Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Highland Health Care Center in Highland, IL.

She was born on Thursday, January 24, 1935, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Milton and Rosina (nee Schuetz) Schiefer.

On Monday, July 7, 1952, she married James R. "Jim" Lockeby at Alton, IL, who survives.

She was a member of St. Jacob United Church of Christ, St. Jacob, IL.

Rosa was born in Highland, IL and grew up in St, Jacob, IL. From October 1954 to June 1965 she lived in Long Beach, CA. She moved back to St. Jacob and worked at the Marine Garment Factory and later for Bridal Original, Collinsville, IL, as a factory worker. She enjoyed family, friends and drag races with her husband.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL and from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Interment will be at Keystone Cemetery in Saint Jacob, IL.
