Rose Cullen

Rose Cullen, age 87, of Belleville, IL, born on February 12, 1939, in Hickman, KY, died on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Rose was a retired bookkeeper form Callison Wholesale Liquor in Belleville, IL, formerly worked for Stockyards National Bank and Boatman’s Bank. She was a very active member with St. Henry’s Catholic Church, fish fries, bingo, and the Ladies Club just to name a few. She was a devoted wife, mom and loving grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lavern “Ham” Cullen; her great grandson, Kane; her parents, George and Phoebe, nee Williams Cissell; and her siblings, Jim Cissell, Barbara Cullen, Patricia Cissell, Patrick Cissell, Phillip Cissell and Monica Cates.

Rose is survived by her children, Joellan (Teague) Wylie of Freeburg, IL, Amy (Brett) Seavers of Edwardsville, IL, and Sean Cullen of Belleville, IL; her grandchildren, T.J. (Kim) Wylie, Cailyn Wylie, Zach Seavers (Lauren Oberkfell), and Alyssa (Avery) Castetter; her great grandson, Liam; and her sisters, Rita Kemp and Phyllis Gould. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Memorials may be made to St. Henry’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

A funeral procession will leave Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., on Thursday, October 15, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church, 5315 West Main St., Belleville, IL., with Rev. Kenneth York officiating.

Interment will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
