Roxanne Downs

Roxanne Downs, 61, passed away at 10:17 am Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at her home.   

She was born August 11, 1953 in Wood River, IL, the daughter of Robert Lee Patrick and Helen Maxine (Morlan) Cummings.

She was a control room operator at Dynegy for over 20 years, retiring on November 30, 2013. She was of the Catholic faith.  She was a member of the Electrical Union in Springfield, Illinois.  She loved spending time with the grandchildren, children and her family.

Roxanne is survived by two daughters, Cimme Downs of Bethalto and Jaime Downs of Rosewood Heights; three grandchildren, Abby, Jacob and Cameron; a sister Robin (Darrell) Plank of East Alton; a brother, Calvin (Anna) Patrick of Cottage Hills; two sisters-in-law, Jody Patrick of Columbia, MO and Tina Patrick of Wood River; six stepbrothers and sisters, Cheryl, Debbie, Karen, Janet, Mike and Steve; her husband, Charlie Webster of Fosterburg; an aunt, Bessie Morlan of Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Michael and Robert “Bobby” Patrick, and her stepdad, Loyd Cummings.   

Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. 

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the funeral home with Father Tom Liebler as officiant.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. 

Memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Bethalto or Boys and Girls Club of Greater St. Louis.
