Sally Labby

Sally Marie Labby, 88, of Gillespie, IL, died at her residence on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 9:22 pm. She was born July 10, 1937, in Gillespie, IL to Wayne Woodruff & Ellen Heyen Davidson.

She married Robert A. Labby on March 27, 1964 in Decatur, IL. She was retired after having been a supervisor for Duracraft. Sally enjoyed sci fi movies, going to movies with family, crafting, planting flowers, reading and being with her family.

She is survived by her spouse, Robert Labby of Gillespie, IL, children, Denise Archibald of Carlinville, IL, Kim (Charles) Gaede of Carlinville, IL, Ronald (Teri) Archibald of Carlinville, IL, Robert L. (Carol) Labby of Eagarville, IL, Stephanie (Gene) Hebenstreit of Litchfield, IL, grandchildren, Amber Janiak, Aaron Blevins, Chelsey Semplowski, Michael Archibald, Alec Hebenstreit, Hannah Labby, Megan Labby, 9 great grandchildren, sisters, Mary (Norman) Engelke of Benld, IL, Mary (Tom) Schwab of Florissant, MO.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Woodruff, Ellen and William Davidson, brother, William Woodruff, sister, Barbara Welsh and granddaughter, Ashely Labby.

Friends may call on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gillespie from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with memorial services to follow at the church at 11:00 am. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society or Gillespie Public Library.
