Sebastian David “Bash” Bartlett-Humphreys, 7, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away at 5:23 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, along with his precious bonus mom, Shanna, and beloved sister, Bailey.

He was born July 26, 2019, in Maryville, Illinois, the son of Cody Alan “Dada” Humphreys of Granite City and Brionna “Bri Momma” Bartlett of Pontoon Beach. Sebastian was a second-grade student at Prather Elementary School in Granite City.

Sebastian was a sweet and soft-hearted little boy with a gentle spirit and an abundance of love to give. A true cuddle bug, he loved being close to his family and had a special bond with his sister, Bailey, always serving as her comforter and protector. He loved anything on wheels, especially firetrucks, cars, and motorcycles. Sebastian’s beautiful eyes, warm smile, and loving energy could truly light up any room, and his tender heart left an unforgettable impression on everyone who knew and loved him.

In addition to his father and mother, he is survived by his brother, Finnley Richard Bartlett of Pontoon Beach; grandparents, Elizabeth and Nykky Schildman of Pontoon Beach, Christopher Humphreys of Pontoon Beach, and Mike and Shana Pagano of Pontoon Beach; bonus grandparents, Luther and Sherrie Burns of Collinsville; great-grandparents, Marilyn Humphreys of Granite City and Kathy and Gary Jascur of Highland; bonus dad, Gavin Newman of Crestview, Florida; bonus great-grandfather, Luther Burns of Collinsville; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; other extended family; and many dear friends.

In addition to his bonus mom, Shanna, and sister, Bailey, he was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Dennis Plocher.

In celebration of Sebastian’s life, visitation will be held at Unity Baptist Church, 2500 St. Clair Avenue in Granite City, Illinois, on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Reverend Ron Habermehl and Reverend Jarad Corzine will officiate.
