Sharon Weller

Sharon Kay Weller, 73, of Wood River, IL, passed away at 11:53 a.m. Sat. Dec. 17, 2016 at her home while under hospice care.

She was born Mar. 10, 1943 in Jerseyville, IL to the late Arthur John & Ellen (Shanz) Herring.

She and Harvey J. Weller were married Feb. 21, 1964.  He preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2009.

Mrs. Weller is survived by 2 daughters: Christine & Bob Burnham of Bethalto, IL and Melissa & Tim Phillips of East Alton, IL; 4 grandchildren: Bradley Hartmann, Austin Hartmann, Tim Phillips Jr. and Taylor Phillips; 2 great-grandchildren: Gracelyn Phillips and Riley Weaver and was expecting a new great-grandbaby; 2 brothers: William (Phyllis) Herring and John (Tina) Herring; and a sister: Mary (Leonard) Brown.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Harold & Frank Herring; a sister: Catherine Scoggins; and 2 half sisters: Marguerite Murphy and Eva Marten Meres.

Memorial visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until time of memorial services at 7:00 p.m. Thurs. Dec. 22, 2016 at Paynic Home for Funerals.
