Sharon Thompson

Sharon Renee Thompson, 62, of Benld, IL, died at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 10:37 pm. She was born November 23, 1963, in Alton, IL to William F. Tucker & Barbara Comb Tucker.

She married Mark Thompson on May 3, 1983 in Alton, IL. He preceded her in death on October 28,2019.

She was a legal secretary for a law office. Sharon enjoyed playing video games and being with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Jim (Kelly) Thompson of Hillsboro, IL, Geoff (Melissa) Thompson of Gillespie, IL, grandchildren, Jesse, Luke, Grayson, Caleb, Parker, and brother, Richard Tucker of East Alton, IL. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, sons, Jesse Tucker and William "Bill" Thompson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
