
Shelly Dawn Bierman, 63, died at 2:05 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2026 at her residence after a year-long battle with cancer.
She was born in Jerseyville on November 10, 1962, one of three children born to George Lee and Darlene (King) Harding.
A lifelong resident of Jerseyville, she graduated in 1980 from Jersey Community High School.
Her caring personality was a natural fit as a Certified Nursing Assistant at both Greenwood Manor Nursing Home and Greenwood West.
Her family was the center of her life, and she enjoyed raising her children, however, her four grandchildren were the icing on the cake. Family get-togethers were always a highlight, and she looked forward to the many trips to Branson, Missouri.
She married Dennis Bierman on February 27, 1982 in Jerseyville, and their 44 year marriage has been blessed with many wonderful memories.
Surviving are her husband, Dennis; her three children, Darren (Chelsea) Bierman of Carrollton, Derek (Leslie) Bierman of Jerseyville, and Kayla Bierman of Jerseyville; her four beautiful grandchildren, Reese, Jada, Tanner and Boyd; a sister, Vickie (William) Morris of Kuttawa, Ky.; and a brother, Gregory (Sarah) Harding of Jerseyville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Her brother, Pastor Gregory Harding will officiate.
Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Eldred.
Memorials may be given to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
