Sherry Lange

Sherry Lange, 85, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. 

She was born in Paducah, Kentucky, on April 6, 1940, the daughter of Finis and Bernice (Oller) Brigman. Sherry married Elwood Lange in Benton, Kentucky on August 13, 1994. 

Sherry worked as the Human Resources Manager and District Secretary for AT&T / Southwestern Bell in St. Louis until her retirement, after graduating from East Alton Wood River High School. She loved reading, bird watching, and traveling. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. 

She is survived by her children, Tracy Shaw of Benton, KY, Greg Miller of Homestead, FL, and William (Bonnie) Coleman of Bethalto; grandchildren, Amber (Charles) OMalley, Stephanie (Joseph) Kimbro, Dakota (Brandon) Stowers, Benjamin (Briana) Coleman, Noah (Destiny) Coleman, and Alex Pritzker; great-grandchildren, Julian, Kayla, Ethan, Gabriel, Connor, Landon, Alaina, Willow, Madelyn, Arya, Graycen, Jaxson, Josephine, Abel, and Elias; two brothers, Jim (Teri) Brigman of Hartford, and Mark (Karen) Brigman of Columbia, IL; a sister-in-law, Susie Brigman of Troy, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Along with her parents, and husband, Elwood, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ken Brigman; a grandchild, Jesse Coleman; and a great-grandchild, Jayden Kimbro. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 10 am until time of service at 11:30 am, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Pastor Terry McKinzie will officiate. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Collinsville.
