Sheryl Lynn (Wade) Simpson, 51, died at 3:49 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2017 at her residence after struggling with declining health since suffering a stroke in 2015.She was born in Jerseyville on October 20, 1965, one of three girls born toGary D. and Sierra Sue (McEvers) Wade, and was blessed with loving parents.She graduated in 1983 from Jersey Community High School, and had worked a various health care facilities throughout her adult life.She married Donald Simpson in Jerseyville on Aug. 12, 1998, and he survives.Also surviving are a daughter, Ashley Jones of Jerseyville; a granddaughter, Zoey Nicole Atteberry; two step daughters and their husbands, Lindsey and Shawn Lee of Fort Beale, Ca., and LaNae and Larry Arellano of Melbourne, Fl., and two four step grandchildren, Teagan, Kendall, Carter and Gianna.

She is also survived by her two sisters and a brother in law, Terri Howland of Jerseyville and Debbie and Mike Bader of Jerseyville; a niece and a nephew, Kelsey Howland, and her companion, Justin Bland along with their daughter, Kennadi of Jerseyville, and Chris and Trish Bader, along with their children, Michaela and John of Bresse; and her sister Debbie's Goddaughter, who was very special to Sheryl, Mylee Woolsey of Kane; as well as cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry "Junior" and Lucille Wade and Harold and Grace McEvers; and an uncle, Burl "Lucky" McEvers. A Memorial Visitation will take place at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, on Thursday June 8, 2017 beginning at 3 p.m.,, and concluding with a memorial service at 6 p.m,.A private burial will take place at a later date.Memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
