Shirley Barbee

Shirley A. Barbee, nee Friedrich, 76, of Collinsville, IL, born Friday, July 9, 1948, in St. Louis, MO, passed away surrounded by family, Monday, March 31, 2025 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.

Shirley was a sales representative for Alro Steel Company. She was a volunteer with partners for pets and enjoyed her flower gardening, baking and cooking, gambling and most of all, spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her:

• Brother: Ervin “Bud” Friedrich
• Sister: Sandra Cochran

Visitation: Visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.

Services: Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Father Clyde Grogan officiating. Interment will follow at St. John UCC Cemetery in Valmeyer, IL.
