Shirley DeMange

Shirley Ann DeMange, nee Tojo, 89, of East Saint Louis, IL, born Monday, March 11, 1935, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Aviston, Illinois.

Shirley was a devoted mother, grandmother, and farmer’s wife. She married Vincent DeMange, Sr., on May 29, 1954. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she loved nothing more than spoiling them. She was a devout Catholic, loved Diet Coke, an occasional trip to Steak n Shake, the color red, cardinal birds, was famous for her chicken and dumplings, and always spoke her mind.

She was preceded in death by her:

• Daughter, Jean Gass
• Parents, Frank and Josephine (Touchette) Tojo
• Brother Frank Tojo, Jr.

Private family service will be held. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois.
