Steven Rist

Steven Rist, 58, passed away at 3:19pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at LaBella of Alton. He was born on May 11, 1967, in Springfield, Illinois, the son of the late Donald E. and Sandra Kae (Barbre) Rist.

Survivors include a brother in law: Tim Atkins of Bloomington, Illinois, a niece: Mickaela Atkins of Bloomington, Illinois, and many other friends.

Steven was formerly employed as a graphic designer at the Edwardsville Intelligencer.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bethalto.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Darcie Atkins.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
