Teresa Brightman

Teresa M. Brightman, nee Phillips, 74, of Belleville, IL, born Monday, December 3, 1951, in Mackinaw City, MI, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Teresa worked as a Weather Observer for the U.S. Navy and several civilian airports. She enjoyed visits from her friends at First United Presbyterian Church in Belleville, IL. Throughout her life, Teresa was a member of many organizations including Membership with Primrose Chapter #183 O.E.S. of Indian River, MI, Otsego County Michigan Democrat Committee, WAVES National (now MWAN) Navy Organization, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and all of her rescued cats. She was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

Visitation: Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.

Services: Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Pastor Alexandra Lysdahl officiating.
