Thomas Ward

Thomas Edward Ward, 78, died at 7:40 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at his residence. He was born March 10, 1947 in Alton the son of the late Leonard and Harriett (Hess) Ward.

Thomas retired from the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Alton after many years. He married Peggy Orzel, and she preceded him in death. 

Surviving are one son, Daniel Ward of Alton, one brother, William Ward (Janine), three sisters, Janice Ward, Mary Ward and Susan Sowders (Rick). 

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Ward and two brothers, James Ward and David Ward. 

Service will be private with burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
