Vicki Schmedeman

Vicki Ann Schmedeman, nee Morrison, 75, of Granite City, IL, born January 22, 1949, in East St. Louis, IL, died Friday, December 27, 2024, at Christian Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Vicki was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Granite City, IL. She loved to crochet and was an avid reader.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sara Schmedeman; her father, Daniel Joseph Morrison; her mother, Otilda Morrison, nee Knemeyer; and her two brothers, Daniel Jr. and Finley Morrison.

She is survived by:

• her loving husband of 56 years, Donald Schmedeman;
• a daughter, Amy Schmedeman;
• a son, Alan Schmedeman;
• three grandchildren, Danica, Kody, and Zane;
• a great-grandchild, Samara;
• her sister, Pat Muckensturm;
• and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Graveside services and burial will be at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
