Viola Kravec

Viola M. Kravec, 98, of Maryville, Illinois, passed away at 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

She was born September 14, 1927, in East St. Louis, Illinois, a daughter of the late William DeFord and the late Opal (Probst) McDonald. She had been a waitress for over 35 years with the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Kravec and a brother, Edward DeFord. She is survived by a sister, Janet Zellin of Maryville and numerous nieces and nephews.

In celebration of her life, she will be laid to rest along with her husband at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville.
