Virginia Scott

Virginia Rae Scott, 89, passed away 4:45 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2016 at Rosewood Care Center of Alton.

Born in Wood River on July 31, 1927, she was the daughter of Lester and Nola (Carlson) Scott.

She had worked as a teller, bookkeeper and supervisor for what was then, 1st National Bank of Wood River prior to retiring.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Her parents; sister, Florence Hendricks and her, husband, Wilbur preceded in death.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rosewood Heights on Saturday, September 29.

St. Paul United Methodist Church has been named as a memorial.

Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
