Wanda F. Behringer, 74, died unexpectedly at 12:45 a.m., Sunday, July 24, 2016 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield after suffering an apparent heart attack the day before.She was born in Pearl, IL. on Aug. 26, 1941, and was the daughter of Fred & Elsie (Swearingin) Gansz Sr.Wanda graduated from Carrollton High School, and had worked various factory jobs throughout her life, and was also an Avon representative. Above all, she was devoted to her family and was a believer in Christ.She married Daniel Frederic Behringer on Aug. 29, 1959 in Jacksonville, and together they have shared nearly 57 years together, and were the parents of three sons.Surviving are her husband, Daniel Behringer of Carrollton; two sons & daughters in laws, Daniel & Hope Behringer of Jerseyville and John Behringer, and his companion, Vivian Scoggins of Grafton; five grandchildren; four sisters, Erma Hall of Jerseyville, Mary Zimmerman of Kentucky, Judy Beckman of Jerseyville, and Brenda Gilbert of White Hall; three sons, Gary Gansz of Bluffs, Fred Gansz Jr. of White Hall, and Darrell Gansz of Jerseyville.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Behringer on June 11, 1991; a daughter in law, Mary Lou Behringer; and three brothers, Larry, Gerald & David Gansz.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday. Rev. Don Shelton will officiate.Burial will be in the Rosedale Cemetery.Memorials may be given to the Berdan Baptist Church where she was a member.
