Wilfred F. Aljets, 76, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Rosewood Care of Alton.  Born in Alton May 15, 1934, he was the son of Martin and Evelyn (Lagemann) Aljets.  The U.S. Army veteran was a member of the Bunker Hill Lions Club and National Farmers Organization.  He owned and operated Farmers Manufacturing Company in Dorsey for 45 years.

Surviving is a sister, Elfrieda Ludwig of Iowa and a dear friend, Tim Thompason of St. Jacob, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Leona Sue Aljets.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8.

Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
