Wilma Tabor, age 96 of Marine, IL, died Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Charter Senior Living Center in Troy, IL.
She was born on Sunday, January 5, 1930, in Pierron, IL, the daughter of Emil and Laura (nee Knebel) Frisse.
On Saturday, September 8, 1951, she married Vincent W. Tabor at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland, who passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 1993.
She was member of Eastern Star, Faith Countryside Volunteer, MCAHCE and Joy Singers.
Mrs. Tabor has been a lifelong resident in the Highland and Marine area. She previously did income taxes and was a volunteer at Faith Countryside, a member and past president of Madison County Association for House and Community Education, Marine Historical Society and Eastern Star, where she served as Worthy Matron of Unity Chapter #403. She enjoyed line dancing and also sang with the Joy Singers. Wilma enjoyed listening to country music. She loved plants and had many in her home. She also loved birds.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. Phil Kershner, Pastor, Marine UCC, officiating.
Interment will be at Marine Cemetery in Marine, IL.
