Ameren Helping Non-Profits Pay Bills

Churches and other non-profit organizations struggling to pay their electric bills may be able to get help.  Ameren Illinois spokeswoman Stacey Shangraw says they're taking applications to help those facing hardships.

The amount awarded will depend, in part, on how many applicants there are.

Any money granted will be applied directly to the customer's Ameren account.  To apply for a grant, the non-profit must be an Ameren customer.  To learn more, call 1-800-232-2477.
