Researchers have developed a new scan they say can spot changes in the brains of Alzheimer's patients as those changes happen. The technique tested on mice and people by researchers in Japan could allow doctors to diagnose the disease earlier, or monitor treatments to make sure they're working. More than five-million Americans have Alzheimer's or another form of dementia. The study is published in the journal "Neuron."
