The Tigers scored six runs in the bottom of the ninth and then walked off in the 12th to stun the White Sox 7-6 at Comerica Park. Al Alburquerque got the win for the Tigers, who reduced their magic number to two. Pinch hitter Andy Dirks hit a 3-run homer to spark the rally in the ninth and Omar Infante knocked in the game winner with a bases loaded infield single in the 12th. Jake Petricka took the loss for the White Sox who have dropped three in-a-row. Gordon Beckham had two hits and Bryan Anderson had two RBI for the White Sox.

The final game of the series is this afternoon with the Pre-Game Show at 11:30 on Newstalk 1060.

The Cubs scored three times in the bottom of the eighth inning to rally and beat the Braves 3-1 at Wrigley Field.  Anthony Rizzo doubled in a run and later scored for Chicago, which has won two-of-three.  Travis Wood gave up a run while striking out seven in seven-plus innings for a no-decision.  Carlos Villanueva picked up the win while Pedro Strop locked up his first save.  Kris Medlen struck out six in seven-and-a-third innings of one-run ball.  Scott Downs took the loss.  Freddie Freeman scored the only run for Atlanta, which has lost four-of-six overall.  The Braves' magic number to clinch the NL East is one.
