The Door County Historical Museum is looking at expanding.
The building in downtown Sturgeon Bay is packed to the brim with photos, artifacts and records from the past and assistant curator Ann Jinkins says they’ve run out of room.
The county owns and operates the property and building and the Door County Historical Society fills it. Door County property committee chair Ben Meyer says the county already owns the property directly behind the museum.
Meyer says he’s writing a resolution for to take to the county board for approval. If the board approves, the historical society will begin fundraising.
