The National Guard could be called in to help combat crime on the streets of Chicago.  Governor Quinn says he’s open to the idea as a means of keeping people safe, particularly after two gunmen opened fire at a park last week, injuring 13 people.  Police say the gunmen used military-style assault rifles.  Quinn has been pushing for a ban on the rifles but gun-rights advocates say banning the guns would violate their Second Amendment rights.  Quinn says something must be done to get the city’s crime rate under control.
