Rush To Release "Vapor Trails Remixed" Next Month

Sep 23, 2013 8:50 AM

Rush is revisiting "Vapor Trails."  Guitarist Alex Lifeson says the band is remixing and releasing their 2002 album to make it "more pleasurable to listen to."  He tells "Classic Rock Magazine" it was a pivotal album for the group, marking their return after drummer Neil Peart suffered the loss of both his spouse and daughter.  He explains that they "invested so much of our hearts into that record" and put in 15 months of hard work into the project, but the original mastering was "poorly done."  Alex adds that it "didn't sit well" with them to have "this blemish" in their catalog.

"Vapor Trails" includes the singles "One Little Victor" and "Secret Touch."  The remixed edition will be in stores October 1st, the same day Rush's seven-disc box set of their Atlantic studio albums is released.
