Iowa GOP Changes Caucus Date To Align With Democrats

The Republican Party of Iowa is making a change to its Republican Caucus date for 2014, moving it to the same night as Iowa Democrats at their urging.  The Democrats and others had been pushing the GOP to hold their Caucuses on Tuesday, January 21st instead of the January 25th date previously announced.  Governor Branstad weighed in yesterday before the party changed the date, saying public participation is increased by having both parties hold the Caucuses the same night.
